Write Content That Sticks
Below I’ve complied 3 easy steps you can do to improve your writing for humans and for search engines.

Break Up Your Content Using Headlines

An example of this is right above the following sentence. Rarely do people read an entire article. They’re looking for a quick solution and wanting it now. Breaking your content up into headlines makes is easily searchable.

From a search engine standpoint Google and the like eat headlines up as long as they’re done right. Using long tail keywords as a headline is a sure fire way to get the attention of google. For example on my flight training website MzeroA.com I might choose a headline like “What do I need to get started learning to fly?” This is a long tail keyword it’s a phrase as compared to just “learning to fly.” So try and incorporate long tail keywords in your headlines.

Use Links Effectively

To many links is a turn off and a mechanical google bust. Try and link to relevant content that’s valuable for your readers. A good rule of thumb is to have a hyperlink every 120 words. This helps you avoid looking like a spammer in the eyes of your readers and search engines.

Create A List

This post is an example of a list. “ 3 Ways to Write Content That Sticks” or “5 Common Student Pilot Errors” List’s are great ways to get content out there and in a uniformed manner. They are easily scannable and often bring up ideas that reader was not even thinking of.

Think of a good list you could create in your niche. Add some keyword rich long tail phrases, and then add some relevant links. Not only will your readers and the search engines enjoy it but you’ll have content that sticks.
